Basic Lighting Workshop

Will be posting details about the upcoming Lighting Workshop soon!

Just completed photographing a story for Augusta Magazine as well as the cover- look for it in the January edition!

Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rev Theory, Blackberry Smoke Concert

Had the privilege of getting a photo pass and photographing the Lynyrd Skynyrd Concert with Rev Theory and Blackberry Smoke. I had an assignment to photograph the Sound Engineer of Blackberry Smoke for Premiere Guitar Magazine. Thanks to Elianne Halbersberg, a long-time friend who I haven’t seen in years, for getting me the assignment. Elianne is a local writer who has written for many a music magazine and has interviewed some of the greatest music stars around. Brit Turner, the drummer for BBS was kind enough to get me a photo pass for the concert. I was able to photograph BBS’s entire set which was really cool. I had actually never heard of the band but they were excellent- they had a southern-country-rock-blues sound- here’s their website if you’re interested: http://blackberrysmoke.com/. The second band was Rev Theory who I’d never heard of either but I recognized one of their songs from 95 Rock. They were actually a hard rock band which I thought was a little strange for a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert but they came out and kicked some serious butt. Here’s their website: http://www.revtheory.com/. Security only allowed me to photograph during their first three songs. I was only able to photograph part of Lynyrd Skynyrd's first song before security ran me off. They actually tried to run me off right from the beginning but someone (not sure who he was with) came to my defense and talked security into letting me photograph the first song (thanks stranger). Of course Lynyrd Skynyrd put on a great show. You can see all the photos here: http://stevebphoto.nextproof.com/.

Trish & Roel

We photographed Trish Kernaghan & Roel Ruedas' wedding a few weeks ago. They had a beautiful ceremony at St. Mary's Catholic Church and the reception was at Richmond on Greene Hotel. We had a couple of hours in between the ceremony and reception so we were able to spend some time taking photos on Riverwalk. Trish & Roel were really laid back and we had a lot of fun the entire day. They had a great reception and it looked like everyone had a lot of fun. Trish & Roel had bobbleheads made of everyone in the wedding party including themselves- that was cool!

Kandice & Robert's Pregnancy Session

We recently photographed Kandice & Robert for their pregnancy session in Elberton, GA.  Kandice & Robert are a great couple from Elberton whose wedding I photographed back in June of 2006. I photographed them at a family friend's house that has some beautiful landscaping and also a few shots on Kandice's parents' property. I also took a few photos of Kandice in the baby's room. The black & white images at the end were captured with an infra-red converted camera that makes foilage appear white- I think they look pretty cool. Click on the image below for a video slideshow of some highlights.

New Website!

The new website is finally up! It's not 100% complete as we are still adding some content but it's pretty close. Be sure to check out the new video slide show section. Let us know what you think.

Kernaghan-Ruedas Wedding

We just photographed the wedding of Patricia Kernaghan and Roel Ruedas at St. Mary's Church. Trish and Roel are a great couple who were a lot of fun to hang out with. Trish and I go back to when I was a medical photographer on the Burn Unit- Trish is still a nurse on the unit and Roel is a pharmacist at the hospital as well. You couldn't meet two nicer people- I know they will be very happy together.

We'll be posting some preview photos of the wedding in the next couple of weeks-stay posted.

GO DAWGS!! (I had to do that- Roel's a Florida fan).
